Kota Belud is the land for the Bajau. The Kota Belud Bajau has also been referred as ‘Cowboy of the East’ because of their highly skilled horsemanship. Every Sunday, hawker and vendors, farmers and fisherman, adult and child who like to converge at this town in the hills, patronize this ‘tamu’. The Bajaus bring out their local produce and handicrafts to be sold in a large open-air market. Drive to North Kota Belud Sunday Market takes about one hour drive. Upon arrival, have a look around and try their style of bargaining. Enjoy the Sunday market with things like flower, animal, books, cloth, toys, handicrafts antiques, home made cakes etc. After shopping take a rest and have simple lunch at a local restaurant and then relax before heading back.

Pick up from your hotel lobby at 0730 hours and proceed to Kota Belud. Free at leisure, have a look around and test your bargaining skill. After lunch, heading back to Kota Kinabalu.
