OVERVIEW:

Located at the North of Sabah Borneo, Kudat is once the first capital of British North Borneo Chartered Company. It takes about 3 hours drive from Kota Kinabalu city, through scenic countryside to the town of Kudat, passing views of paddy fields, villages, oil palm plantation, local stalls selling handicraft and food items. You will find the junction to Simpang Mengayau (Tip of Borneo) just before arriving Kudat, from there, it will take about 1 hour to reach the place so called "The Tip of Borneo", where you will find the fascinating scenery of long stretch white sandy beach and its beautiful northern tip sea. You can even catch the unforgettable sunset, if you arrive there on time in the evening. Visit Sumangkap Village, well known for its "Gong" making skill by its local artisan, and the Longhouse of the Rungus people community.

DAY 1

Pick up from the hotel lobby at 0800 hours and transfer to Kudat town centre, which is approximately, takes 3 hours drives. Visit Kudat Hokkien Chinese Temple before takes your lunch at the town centre. Explore the town centre after your lunch. You can spend few times at Esplanade Sidek, also known as Kudat Waterfront. Proceed to the Bak-Bak Beach, about 10 minutes drive from Kudat Town. Free at leisure where you can walk at the seaside or swim. Resume your trips to Tip of Borneo and view the amazing scenery of sunset from this point. Transfer you to Kg.Bavagazo where you will spend a night at the longhouse. Enjoy the night with the traditional dance performance by the dancer. (L,D)

DAY 2

Wake up and take your breakfast with the traditional style. Getting familiar with the Rungus community, visit The Living Museum and the Bee Farm. Experience how they harvest the beewax, honey and the royal jelly. Proceed to Kota Belud town centre and have your lunch at local restaurant before heading back to Kota Kinabalu.
