OVERVIEW:

Kinabalu Park, in the State of Sabah on the northern end of the island of Borneo, is dominated by Mount Kinabalu (4,095 m), the highest mountain between the Himalayas and New Guinea. It has a very wide range of habitats, from rich tropical lowland and hill rainforest to tropical mountain forest, sub-alpine forest and scrub on the higher elevations. It has been designated as a Centre of Plant Diversity for Southeast Asia and is exceptionally rich in species with examples of flora from the Himalayas, China, Australia, Malaysia, as well as pan-tropical flora.

DAY 1

Pick up from your hotel lobby at 0800 hours and proceed for three hours drive to Kinabalu Park. Stop at Nabalu Park for some souvenir shopping and then proceed to Poring Hot Spring. Visit the Canopy Walkway and take a shower at Hot Spring. Lunch at park’s restaurant. Free at leisure. If you lucky, you can find Rafflesia flower (Please check with your guide). At 1600 hours, depart Poring Hot Spring to one of the resort at Kundasang. Upon arrival, proceed with check in. Free at leisure for the rest of your day. (L,D)

DAY 2

Breakfast and check out. Visit Rose Garden where you can find a lot of roses and strawberries. You can buy roses or strawberry with reasonable price. Proceed to Kundasang War Memorial where it has 4 interlocking but separate gardens to represent the homelands of the warriors who had died during World War II. There is an Australian Garden, a formal English garden of roses, a Borneo Garden with wild flowers of Kinabalu, and at the top level is the 'Contemplation Garden' with a refection pool and pergola. During a clear day, you can see the panoramic view of Mount Kinabalu. Transfer to Kinabalu Park where you will visit Exhibition Hall and Botanical Garden. After the tour, you will having your lunch at local restaurant nearby before heading back to Kota Kinabalu. (B,L) END OF OUR SERVICE.
